Teamsters Local 600 Successful in Post-Election Case Before the NLRB

Teamsters Local 600 filed a petition seeking to represent employees in three classifications at Republic Services of Dexter.  The Union and Employer disagreed as to the scope of the appropriate bargaining unit, with the Employer arguing that one of the classifications sought by the Union should be excluded from the unit and that another classification should be included in the unit.  Both Region 14 and the full Board in Washington, D.C. held that the classifications sought in the Union’s petition constituted an appropriate unit for bargaining.  Emily Perez assisted Local 600 by filing briefs in support of the Union’s position with Region 14 and the Board.
