The firm was founded in 1979. Cary Hammond, the firm’s Managing Principal, and Richard Shinners were founding partners along with Jerome Diekemper. Jerome Diekemper withdrew as a principal in June 2006 and is now practicing as an arbitrator/mediator. Since its inception the firm has specialized in labor and employee benefits law and represents a large number of unions and Taft-Hartley trust funds in Missouri and Illinois. Cary Hammond, Rick Shinners, Greg Campbell, Sherrie Schroder, Karl Sauber, Janine Martin, Darlene Warnick, Mary Khouri, Brian Love, Mike Evans and Emily Perez are all actively involved in labor and/or employee benefits law. The firm represents unions and trust funds in a wide array of industries including industrial, construction, utilities, transportation and service. The firm also has clients involved in the public sector.
In 1983 the firm expanded into the area of workers’ compensation law. Joseph Larrew, Ann Dalton and Bob Mandava represent injured workers in a large number of occupations. The firm has developed a booklet describing an employee’s rights under the Workers’ Compensation Law.
For many years Jack Turcotte headed the firm’s domestic relations department. Jack retired on April 30, 2007. |
